Our Story

How It All Began

Hi! My name is Mareesa Ahmad. I just graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. My business, Kids Can Cook LLC, was accepted by StartupLab my junior year of college and that allowed me to really transform the business. Now that COVID-19 restrictions are lifting, I am offering in-person cooking classes in addition to the virtual classes. I have taught over 300 students the joys of healthy cooking since 2014 in my hometown of Harlan, Kentucky while also testing recipes and writing blogs for ChopChop Magazine and SpoonUniversity. I want to continue teaching more kids the importance of cooking because it is an essential life skill and should be learned as early as possible. So far, we've reached people across four different continents and I cannot wait to get started with your precious kiddos!

What We Do

Culinary Sprouts teaches children 5+ the ways of cooking. We are here to help your kiddo learn their way around the kitchen and boost their confidence! In addition to gaining culinary skills, your child will also learn the nutritional benefits of the foods they cook as well as proper dining etiquette.

 

We currently operate 100% online through virtual teaching to ensure safety of all instructors and children.
